Becoming a Private Investigator: Florida RequirementsIt’s no easy task to become a Private Investigator. In order to become licensed as a Private Investigator, Florida requires applicants to first pass their own qualifying background check regarding their criminal history, history of mental illness, drug abuse, and alcoholism. Applicants are then required to have two years of experience as a private investigator. To fulfill this requirement, many applicants apply for their Private Investigator Intern license. To get the intern license, forty hours of training and education by an accredited school is required. They can then use their Private Investigator Intern license to work with a licensed agency to log their two years of experience. Depending on the specific investigation job, there may be additional training in the use of firearms. Once their training and education requirements have been met, prospective Private Investigators must then pass their licensing exam. The investigators at Integrity Assessment PI have all met or exceeded these state requirements. Knowing you are selecting a group of investigators which has met the requirements to become a Private Investigator, Florida licensed, will give you peace of mind. |
